Pocono TreeVentures aerial adventure ropes course has created an event that offers appreciation to our military with the creation of its “Battle of the Branches” Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, June 13 at 8:00 am. Gina Bertucci, spokesperson for TreeVentures explains, “We have had military groups inquire about the use of the Park which gave us the idea to create a day for retired and active military to give it a try. Participants will be timed and scored for accuracy as they progress through a variety of events that will demonstrate their skills, stamina and proof that their branch of the military is the best.” Events will include: harness your team; zip line target shoot; ropes course relay; tug of war; and paintball target shoot. The event fee is $10 per person and includes the competition, use of the ropes course, and a barbecue where the winning team will receive the victors’ trophy. A portion of proceeds will go to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
Bertucci considers the event,” One small way to say ‘thanks’ while providing a great day of fun, camaraderie and a chance to win bragging rights to call your team the best.”
The competition is open to 100 participants with pre-registration recommended.
