Thursday, July 22 will bring back the stupendous high-energy musicianship of the Gypsy Jazz Quintet.

In another major WCCAC debut, contemporary blues legend Clarence Spady will bring his unique style to the Fasshauer Stage on Monday, July 26th.

The season ends on a high note on Thursday, July 29th, with a performance by The Old Time Fiddlers, led by Steve Jacobi. This can’t-miss concert is always a highlight of the season!

SHAWNEE COMMUNITY CONCERT SERIES LEN AND THE SIDE KICKS

Len and The Sidekicks take the stage for the community concert series. Please bring a chair or blanket and practice 6 foot social distancing during the performance. A combination of country and bluegrass with classic covers make up the repertoire for this lively, four-piece jam band known as Len and The Sidekicks. If you haven’t enjoyed their music yet c’mon down! Cowboy hats and boots are optional. There will be lots of toe tapping and foot stomping to some great tunes! Community Concerts are Shawnee’s gift to the community. Concerts are held rain or shine. Donations to the artists are greatly appreciated.

Pete Mauro takes the stage for the community concert series. Pete has been playing oldies and doo-wop music since it was top-40’s on the radio. Everything from the Platters and the Drifters to the Beach Boys and the Beatles. It’s music that seems to never go away, and his audiences enjoy hearing. He’s lived in New Jersey until he retired to the Poconos. He played in wedding and party bands for many years, and always enjoyed playing. Please bring your own chair or blanket and practice 6 foot social distancing while enjoying the performance. Community concerts are Shawnee’s gift to the community. Concerts are rain or shine. The Village Saxophone Quartet has established a reputation for musical excellence and versatility. Their styles vary from contemporary classical and jazz genres to refined sounds of a string quartet with rich harmonies of an organ prelude and the excitement of a Jazz Sax section. Your church, school, senior home or community’s outdoor concert goers will enjoy this wonderful quartet of professional, seasoned musicians performing concerti and music from Broadway and Film scores with Holiday Themes and familiar popular tunes appreciated by audiences of all ages. The current lineup for Village Saxophone Quartet is: Dot Cacchio, leader Soprano Saxophone; Larry DeLucca, Alto Saxophone; Gregg Graham, Tenor Saxophone; Ray Johnston, Baritone Saxophone.
