Scenic splendor that is Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm invites the exquisite works of talented artisans to share the spotlight at this year’s Pocono State Craft Festival Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23. Co-sponsors Pocono Arts Council and the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen describe the gathering as a way to, “Celebrate the heritage, beauty and quality of Pennsylvania Crafts” with fine jewelry, baskets, stained glass, pottery and so much more. Adding to this shopper’s delight, guests can witness the creative process as raw material transitions to finished product.
Hosting the festivities since 2008, Quiet Valley’s Deb DiPasquale considers PSCF, “A culturally enriching weekend,” adding, “I feel the farm makes a beautiful setting for the event.”
With heritage craft demonstrations that include black smithing along with outdoor artisanal bread bakes and wagon rides the site brings the word fun out in this fundraiser benefitting all three non-profit groups. A feat Deb triumphantly calls, “A win-win!”
From the festive sounds of Saturday’s Bluegrass and Gospel music courtesy of the Lost Ramblers to the Dixieland sounds of the Dixie Gents Sunday along with an interactive children’s area and festival foods, there’s fun in the forecast for the entire family!
